T1 (1544 Mbps) and DS3 (45 Mbps) connections are a traditional business class leased digital telephone lines. Technology is the first cable and DSL before. The main advantage is the service: If one stage, the phone company will Bend over the back solve this problem as quickly as possible. Based on this business line because of their income and cost lines to thousands of dollars on. They also measured the time diagnostic monitoring and cooperation to keep up, so they are more reliable.
A T1 has 24 channels on the inside. Each channel can be used for phone line or a 64 kbps Internet. A business can be the phone line 8 from 1024 kbps Internet (16 X 64 kbps) T1 average between U.S. $300 - $500. This is cheaper than paying 8 + phone line DSL / cable Internet to do it for them.
A DS3 into 672 channels and cost several thousand dollars a month. However, T3 (or DS3) prices have declined sharply in recent years and can usually be found between $3-4,000 in many areas. However, this makes no practical cost to small businesses in many cases.
Regular business and optimize power costs by choosing to install a T1 or fractional DS3 is not full thsn. A clear benefit is to reduce the cost .... and scalability can be built in the strategies needed to increase the capacity or planned business growth.
They also don t differences linked directly to the internet, connect their customers from one to another. So, for example, you can have a private line between two traders who do not have Internet security risks. No doubt many people who connect their only ISP (which you then pay additional fees for what to pay Ma Bell for T1 line).
They are symmetrical, unlike most DSL and cable lines, you get the same speed in both directions. It is also important for businesses, especially the exchange of information between the offices.
As DSL lines, cable lines and different (which are used together), they are dedicated to one client. Cable service is often not available for business, it was another difference.
Not surprisingly, all of them can be expensive for small businesses, DS3's absurdly so. Cost depends on distance. The core of this two simple components; local loop (the cost of local transportation costs of the incumbent user signals the end of the office, known as CO, to the presence, known as POP, host) and port (the cost of access to telephone networks or the Internet through a network operator). Typically, the port price is based on the availability and rate volunteer time each year is based on the geography loop. The more CO and POP, loop over the cost.
Unless you're running a business can not go down for half a day, you're better than cable or DSL service. If .... for reliability, scalability, performance, and you d better able to evaluate options or DS3 Bandwidth T1 applications.
