Toward the end of last year (2008), IDC issued their annual report describes the 5-year mobile-phone maker. Some information in this report a bit weird but very interesting to see the brand has increased (and decreased) their participation in the market.
Snapshot of the report:
A report issued by IDC contains lots of valuable information for the user. Nokia is placed at No. 1 spot on the list and lost 39.4% market share. Other famous brands such as Samsung and LG increased market value for 2007-2008 with Samsung 0.1% (7.7% of the market) and Samsung to increase 2.6% (landning on 17.3% market share).
But not all mobile phone manufacturers see a positive return as 2007-2008. Motorola markets declined during the year, falling from 12.8% in 2007 to 8.6% in 2008.
Stay consistent man in Sony Ericsson 8.6% market share in the year 2008.
2009 forecast:
2009 predictions varies depending on who you speak again. Many believe that Nokia will continue to cause most of the others believe that Samsung will begin to rival Nokia in the early months of the year 2009.
