The leaders of four top Telecom and entertainment company providing core speech in a trade show recently in Las Vegas TelecomNext.

CEO of Verizon Communications, Time Warner Cable, Walt Disney Co., NTT, and all seemed to agree that increasing levels of convergence and user choice to place the future of telecommunications companies in the hands of consumers.

We see a big change in how consumers spend money, and our business model must be flexible, said Disney CEO Robert niger. Used to say that the product is king, but the use of the king.

Verizon executive, Ivan Seidenberg, meanwhile, cited his company worth billions of dollars of investment in the development of fiber optic FiOS network, which has been almost entirely driven by the use of electricity needs. Path will eventually be used to store all digital video and broadband services at broadband speeds up to 100 Mbps.

Services in markets where Verizon FiOS is's should begin to attract an average of 14% penetration of broadband, almost overnight, a number that the company hopes to improve in the future.

The market is telling us that there sa out there, Seidenberg said. And invest to get ourselves on the right side of the big ideas that drive our industry forward.

Another topic that emerged repeatedly in the speech is the danger of excessive government regulation.

No matter how attractive government regulation may sound, it will be bad for my business, bad for your business, and bad for consumers, Niger commented in his speech. Customers will pay more in the election. The free market works. There does not justify government's policy to engage in the way the TV offerings should be structured.

Time Warner CEO, Glenn Britt, also raised concerns about the rules, saying that service providers in this new era of telecommunications t should have been placed in the same way the phone company again. Principle be used judiciously, he said. You can expect us to fight all the principles that tilted to one side.
